It’s June! School is out and Summer is officially here. Now is the perfect time to start planning your summer vacation to Mississippi!! Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Plan a Summer Camping Trip!

Mississippi is a state covered in beautiful, bountiful wilderness—and what better way to experience the wilds than through camping in Mississippi. Multiple state parks and recreational facilities from the Gulf Coast to the northern state line give each visitor and many a restless resident the opportunity to experience the wonder of Mississippi’s outdoors for themselves. Whether with just a tent or a full-on RV with all the amenities, Mississippi state parks and campsites have a place for everyone.

Take the boys on a Mississippi Fishing Trip!
Our mild climate keeps the state ripe for fishing excursions year round, and the many game fish that thrive here are always ready to put up a fight. Over 175 different species of freshwater fish reside here in the state, not to mention the abundance of saltwater fish found in the Gulf.   Almost any coastal town will have charters into the Gulf of Mexico for saltwater fishing. Whether you try your hand at Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Gulfport or Bay St. Louis fishing, the Mississippi Gulf Coast is an inviting paradise for a day on the water and a chance at landing a monster.

Plan an Adventure on the Water with a Water Sports Trip!

In many ways, Mississippi is a state defined by its relationship with water. Whether it’s our relationship with the Mississippi River, our high profile real estate on the Gulf of Mexico or our plethora of natural and man-made rivers and lakes, we have plenty of water to spare. From pontoon boats to speed boats, water skis to jet skis and canoes to kayaks...if it floats, it's fair game for a day on Mississippi's waterways and Mississippi is overflowing with great times to be had at a host of public water parks throughout the state. If you're looking for action under the waterline, swimming, fishing and scuba diving are also prevalent here virtually year round.
