Events for the Coastal Region
Over 400 outstanding events occur throughout
Mississippi each year, and are just waiting to turn your visit into
a fun-filled vacation extravaganza. Arts and crafts festivals, music
festivals, and Civil War reenactments are just the beginning.

1. Gulf Coast Carnival Association Mardi
Gras - Biloxi
Two sparkling parades wind their way through the streets of Biloxi.
Festivities include the Coronation Ball.
2. Blessing of the Fleet - Biloxi
Decorated boats parade in front of the Biloxi Diocese's Bishop,
who asks a blessing for a safe and bountiful season. On land, the
party continues with a Shrimp Festival, featuring delicious food
and family fun.
3. Biloxi Seafood Festival - Biloxi
For twenty-three years the Biloxi Seafood Festival has delighted
thousands with arts and crafts, special events, vendors, and delicious
seafood of every kind. Lot's of fun overlooking the beautiful waters
of the Mississippi Sound.
4. Cruisin' the Coast - Biloxi
This event brings hundreds of automobile enthusiasts together for
lots of fun and excitement centered around a time that still lives
in the hearts of so many, the fabulous '50s and '60s. Over 4,200
classic vehicles will be entered. Live entertainment, a poker run
and drag racing.
5. Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival
- Ocean Springs
Named in honor of the late artist, Peter Anderson, this festival
is comprised of selected artists and craftsmen from the South.
