Clarksdale
One of the largest cities in the delta
region, Clarksdale, Mississippi grew out of the Indian wilderness
to become the county seat for Coahoma County. As rich in history
and culture as the dark delta soil surrounding it, Clarksdale,
Mississippi lies at the heart of Delta Blues country. Visitors
can expect to see influences of what is known as America's
only original music, all over town. The Delta Blues Museum,
Cat Head Delta Blues & Folk Art, Clarksdale Train Station,
Ground Zero Blues Club, and Shack Up Inn, are just some of
the attractions to be experienced in this bustling delta town.
