- One
Day 1 
Arrive in Jackson, Mississippi's capital
city, and get into the holiday spirit with a tour of the antebellum
Mississippi Governor's Mansion, specially decorated for the
season. Delight in the holiday exhibits and giant Christmas
tree at the Old Capitol Historical Museum. Next stroll through
a fabulous fairyland as Christmas at the Jackson Zoo presents
the elves' workshop and Santa Claus arriving by elephant.
Thrill to the sound of over 100 voices as Belhaven College
presents a fabulous outdoor singing Christmas tree. Then enjoy
a delicious holiday dinner at one of the city's fine restaurants.
Day 2
Jackson to Vicksburg ......... 44
Continue your visit in Jackson with
a Victorian Christmas at the 1857 Manship House. Then travel
to Vicksburg for an afternoon drive through the Vicksburg
National Military Park and a visit to the Old Court House
Museum. Be prepared for an unusual evening of dining and dancing
at the Confederate Christmas Ball at Balfour House. This re-enactment
commemorates the 1862 Christmas Eve ball, interrupted when
a courier burst in with news of the sighting of Union gunboats
on the Mississippi River.
Day 3
Vicksburg to Natchez ......... 69
After a hearty breakfast, travel to
Natchez, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River. Tour
a few of Natchezs lovely antebellum homes, festively deco-
rated for their Christmas pilgrimage. Enjoy a horse-drawn
carriage ride through historic downtown Natchez, followed
by the Christmas parade and the lighting of the town Christmas
tree.

Day 1
Biloxi to Meridian ........... 170
Begin your Christmas tour in the bright
sunshine of the Mississippi Gulf Coast at Beauvoir, the last
home of Jefferson Davis, the only president of the Confederate
States of America. A delight- ful walking tour through Old
Downtown Biloxi, abundant with specialty shops and boutiques,
gives you an opportunity to purchase those last-minute Christmas
gifts. Once checked into one of the many resort hotels overlooking
the Gulf of Mexico, prepare for the excitement of attending
Christmas on the Water, a nighttime Christmas parade featuring
boats decorated with bright lights, displaying Christmas themes
and playing Christmas music. Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner
and sample the exciting nightlife.
Day 2
Meridian to Jackson .......... 93
Before departing for Meridian, take
a memorable scenic ride down Beach Boulevard (Highway 90),
specially decorated for the holidays. Arrive in Meridian in
time for lunch. Then take the "Trees of Christmas Tour."
This annual event features both traditional and contemporary
interpretations of the Christmas tree. Trees are adorned with
handmade Christmas decorations throughout antebellum Merrehope
and the Frank W. Williams House. Afterward, delight in a reception
at the Dentzel Carousel, the world's only two-row stationary
Dentzel Menagerie in existence. Enjoy dinner at one of Meridian's
Victorian restaurants; then take in a performance at the Meridian
Little Theater.
Day 3
Continue your Mississippi Christmas
in Jackson, Mississippi's capital city. Travel to Canton,
City of Lights, where I 00,000 white lights greet you on the
Historic Courthouse Square. Visit the Canton Welcome Center
and the Historic Trolio Hotel for information and refreshments.
Take a horse and buggy tour, ride an old-fashioned carousel
and visit the Christmas Animation Museum, where 70 life-size
moving figures depict scenes from the turn-of-the-century.
