Natchez Trace Parkway Tour
This scenic, historic byway began
over 8,000 years ago as a crude animal and Indian trail. By
early 1800 it was the busiest roadway in the American southwest.
Today's modern highway follows this historic route and offers
living history demonstrations, historic sites, state parks,
campgrounds and nature trails. It is also a designated biking
route. What you won't see is litter spoiled roadsides, the
clutter of commercial billboards, and speeds in excess of
50 miles per hour. Will you miss it? I don't think so!
