Thanks to Mississippi's responsible wildlife management programs, more than 2 million acres of wild game habitat are teeming with healthy and productive game populations
Some of the most popular wild game species include Whitetail deer, Eastern wild turkey and migratory waterfowl, as well as small game species such as mourning dove, quail, squirrel and rabbit. Within our managed system of 48 state Wildlife Management Areas, 15 National Wildlife Refuges and six National Forests, you're sure to enjoy some of the greatest hunting you've ever experienced. If you plan to hunt in the public areas, please call to check for seasonal regulations. Opportunities abound, too, on many private lands and with commercial outfitters throughout Mississippi.
