Wildlife Management Areas & National Wildlife Refuges

Thirty-eight wildlife management areas and nine National Wildlife Refuges, that offer hunting opportunities, are scattered throughout the state. Each offers a unique blend of both small and big game ranging from squirrel to white-tailed deer. Sportsmen flock to Mississippi, where more than two million acres of prime game habitat offers great, unspoiled stretches of land abundantly rich in wildlife and scenic beauty.
