Big Foot Horse Trail

This horse trail near Saucier, is 21.75 miles long and is open for horse or foot traffic only. Big Foot Horse Trail consists of four loops ranging in length from five to 11 miles. A ride of almost any desired length can be made by combinations of these loops. Most of the trails run parallel to roads, making it possible to enter the trail at any point.
Facilities at the camp include parking areas, hitching rails, primitive camping, sanitary facilities (pit toilets), drinking water for horses only (not for human consumption), picnic tables, and grills. Two ponds and Tuxachanie Creek provide the water for animal use. No user fees are charged. Trail is excellent for beginners or experienced riders; camping allowed for 7 days at trailhead; chemical toilets; hitching rails; water at stock pond near trailhead Horse or foot travel only.
