Magee’s Creek (designated a Mississippi Scenic Stream) is a clear gentle stream with large beautiful trees on clay and rock banks. From confluence of Varnell Creek in Walthall County, this small stream offers a shady float through sections of forest with dense streamside vegetation and deep cool holes. This creek does have some obstructions and is a little more for the experienced paddler. Expect to see abundant wildlife. Canoe trips arranged by calling the Canoe and Trail Outpost at 601.876.6964.
