Hiking is a popular activity at St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge. A relaxing form of entertainment and a great form of exercise, the Magnolia hiking trail offers a close-up glimpse of various wildlife species and habitats. It is a 3-mile hiking trail traversing through various wildlife habitats and topographic features including loess bluffs that rise above the Homochitto River; accessing a bird rookery with views of herons, egrets, waterfowl and alligators from a new photography and wildlife observation blind; trail-head- St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters, 3 miles off Highway 61
