Pearl River Waterfowl Refuge and Wildlife Management Area Birding and Wildlife Viewing Area

The Pearl River WMA is located at the upper end of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. This area encompasses approximately 6,925 acres. The . There is also a covered, camouflaged pavilion that allows viewers to see feeding waterfowl without disturbing them. Spring and summer are good times to see cattle egrets and Canada goose goslings. During appropriate seasons you can see many permanent resident songbirds and neotropical migratory species like the Kentucky warbler, Swainson's warbler, blue-headed vireo, red-eyed vireo and wood thrush.
