Follow this trail from the top of the levee to a secluded bald cypress-rimmed lake. At the water's edge, part the moss-covered cypress limbs to reveal wood ducks and graceful herons and egrets. This trail is closed to hiking from November to January. Hikers who use the trail in April and May should wear hunter orange. From US Highway 61 in Rolling Fork, take MS Highway 16 southeast to Holly Bluff, turn south onto Spanish Fort Road, where the pavement ends, turn left onto FR 710, go 5 miles to gravel road to the left leading to the levee.
