Club Ebony has been serving soul food and cold beer since 1945. Noticeable from the outside by its green exterior, walk into the doors and let the atmosphere of the club saturates your senses. With the jukebox in the corner and the smell of fried fish lingering in the air, this venue could tell its own story if it really wanted to do so. The “fried and green” menu brings Southern country favorites like table-fried chicken and catfish (with plenty of hot sauce on the side), fried buffalo fish (a local fish that has a great taste and texture – watch out for the bones), greens, cornbread and fried green tomatoes. It’s a little greasy but that’s why you stopped by this joint in the first place! Most famous for the music and musicians who have graced its stage through the years, the Club is now owned by a group headed by B.B. King, whose museum is a short walk down the street and around the corner. Club Ebony is one of the only restaurants with the distinct honor of being part of the Mississippi Blues Trail.
