Anthony’s Good Food Market specializes in an eclectic mix of Mississippi culinary influences, from . It is located on Main Street in Downtown West Point in an old brick building that opened in 1936 as the Anthony and Wilson Grocery. Mrs. Anthony began the café in 1954, serving breakfast and lunch in the back of the store while her husband operated the front. Although the restaurant has had many owners over the years it still reflects the Delta roots, with live Blues music on the weekend, and Creole influences on the menu. Current owners Ray and Carrie Hamilton bring Coastal cuisine with them, enhancing the dishes with Creole spices and seafood like shrimp, crab and crawfish. The homemade Crawfish bisque is like it should be with a base of pureed roasted tomatoes, onions, herbs and heavy cream. The Beef Tips entrée comes with artichokes, red onions, mushrooms and scallions served over fettuccine noodles and tossed in a rich bleu cheese cream sauce.
