Less than ten miles west of The Natchez Trace is the town of Eupora. Here you will find Central Service Grill, located in a building owned by the same family for over fifty years. The red brick building with striped metal awning began its life as Central Service Ford dealership with retro letters still staring from the rooftop. The glass storefront advertises the restaurant, which opened in 2000, with red and yellow letters, beckoning diners to get a bite to eat in the brightly colored red and yellow interior of what used to be the parts department. The kitchen is located in what was the garage area, churning out tasty barbecue ribs, brisket or pulled pork. Also on the menu are fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, large poboys, grilled shrimp, salads and steak. Order a glass of sweet tea and you’re in Mississippi food heaven.
