The Faulkner Heritage Festival is an annual event held on the Square in Historic downtown Ripley, where Pulitzer Prize winning author William Faulkner lived as a child. The festival is a celebration of William Faulkner’s Tippah County heritage. The two-day event consists of a historic walking tour, writers workshops, genealogy workshops, art contest and a writing contest. The festival is topped off with a formal dinner and a movie.
