The Columbia Exposition Center, affectionately known as “The Expo Center,” is an important hub of activity for the communities of Marion County that provides facilities and accomodations for a variety of local events. The Expo Center sits on 40 acres of land and can accomodate up to 450 RV and camper hookups with numerous handicap access features. The arena can be used for horse shows, bull riding, concerts, large festivals, and graduations. It is also well suited for craft shows, jamborees, exhibitions, or almost any event that needs to be held indoors with lots of space. The heated indoor arena has a dirt base with concrete sidewalks surrounding the 132' x 270' arena area. The aluminum bleachers on each side of the arena can comfortably seat up to 3,200 people. The building encompasses 100,000 plus square feet of space that is completely covered. In the past, some of the major events that have been held at the Columbia Exposition Center have included cattle shows, monster truck nationals, professional wrestling matches, rodeos, bluegrass festivals, and much more. There are also smaller facilities available for events that do not require as much space. The community room is ideal for meetings, reunions, wedding receptions, and other such events, easily seating 250-300 people. The kitchen and concession area features the latest in restaurant and commercial equipment. The showers, dressing rooms, and restrooms are ultra modern, clean, and close to the arena area. The Expo Center is located at 150 Industrial Park Drive, which is 3.2 miles north of downtown Columbia, near the junction of Hwy 13N and the 35 Bypass, close to the Columbia Water Park.
