Site of Yellow Fever Cemetery/Theobold Park

The 1878 Yellow Fever epidemic claimed the lives of over 300 Greenville residents.  Victims were laid to rest on a plot of land designated the Yellow Fever Cemetery.  Over the years, bodies were exhumed and reinterred in other local cemeteries.  The Yellow Fever Cemetery became Theobold Park.
