As a national historic landmark, Auburn has quite a story to tell. It was the first major building in Natchez to follow an actual architectural plan. In the years leading to the Civil War several Natchez homes emulated the style of Auburn's facade. The home's spiral staircase stands entirely unsupported, a feat unmatched even in modern buildings. These points introduce you to the dramatic story of Auburn itself.

The B. B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center is a fascinating tribute to the "King of the Blues" and Indianola's most famous son. House in what was once a cotton gin where King worked as a youngster, the interactive exhibits interpret the life of King, as well as the cultural heritage of the region.
The rich cultural heritage of the Mississippi Delta and the life of bluesman B.B. King are told in this state of the art museum through film, interactive exhibits, artifacts, and activities.
Built in 1900 and given to the Yazoo Library Association by Mrs. Fanie Ricks in memory of her husband, this example of Beaux Arts Classicism continues to serve Yazoo City and County as a public library. This was the first property in Yazoo County and the first public library in Mississippi entered on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the oldest public library building in the state still in use, and has also been designated a Mississippi Literary Landmark in recognition of its association with author Willie Morris. The Yazoo Library Association is the second oldest library association in the state of Mississippi, celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2013!
Greenwood native Sylvester Hoover enjoys guiding visitors through the Back in the Day Museum on Young Street in Baptist town. This community museum explores the history of the blues, Baptist town and African-American culture in the Delta.
