South Bethel Mountain Biking Trail

5-mile fast and twisty single track trail passing through dense pine forest and brush with some moguls, log hops and rut crossings. Mostly non-technical. The trail links back in with Bethel trail forming a complete 30-mile loop.

Trace State Park Trails

Trails: 35 miles of back country trails offers hiking, ATV riding, mountain biking and horseback riding. Tunica Bike Trails

The Great River Road is a perfect ride for the novice rider and families due to its relatively flat terrain, but it can offer opportunities for the experienced rider to work on speed and interval training. The Great River Road Bike trail begins at Walls, Ms on Old Highway 61 to the Tunica County line near Harrah’s Casino. There are signs beginning at Harrah’s Casino following the Old Highway 61 route to downtown Tunica and Mhoon Landing. The other trail is 13 miles from downtown Tunica to Mhoon Landing park. This route out to Mhoon Landing Park has a great view of the Mississippi River and our natural landscape.

Windsor Ruins Loop Touring Biking Trail

35-mile scenic biking route around beautiful Port Gibson countryside and historic sites. Begin at the Port Gibson Chamber of Commerce. Park vehicle, leave parking lot and turn left on to U.S. Highway 61 South/Church Street. Go south 1 3/4 miles past the Shell gas station on left. Turn right on to Natchez Trace. At Natchez Trace, turn left (south), cycle approx. 9 miles to first exit on right. Exit on to Highway 552 West. Turn right on Highway 552 and continue west past Alcorn State University. Pass Bethel Church on right. Continue on Highway 552. Cycle approx. 12 miles to the Windsor Ruins, located on right. Look for sign on gravel drive. Exit Windsor Ruins. Turn right to continue ride into Port Gibson on Highway 552/Rodney Road. Pass V&B Lumber on your left, continue past Magnolia Church on right, and pass Port Gibson Hardware on right. Cycle uphill to traffic signal at intersection of Rodney Road/Carroll Street and Main Street. Continue east (straight) to next traffic signal at intersection of Carroll Street and Highway 61/Church Street. Turn right on to Highway 61/Church Street and head south back to chamber of commerce. NOTE: Highway 552 does provide a biking lane. Rodney Road, though very scenic, is a very hilly, windy road. Between the chamber and Natchez trace traffic is heavy. After riding, have lunch at Georgia's at the Old Depot Restaurant in downtown Port Gibson or travel 12 miles south of Lorman and lunch at the Old Country Store.
