Jackson, Mississippi (May 26, 2009) – Governor Haley Barbour
and First Lady Marsha Barbour will host the Third
Annual Mississippi GRAMMY® Event at 7 p.m. May 28, 2009, at Bluesville,
part of Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Tunica. The list of
performers and honorees includes Joey

Bennett, Eden
Brent, James
Burton, Eddie
Cotton, Dorothy
Moore, Paul
Overstreet, Pinetop

The event is sponsored by Meridian-based Peavey
Electronics Corp. to celebrate Mississippi as the “Birthplace
of America’s Music.”
Media check-in for the event will be held in the Jackson Room of Harrah’s
Horseshoe Casino and Hotel from 3 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. Photo opportunities
will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will end at 5 p.m. on the second floor
of the Horseshoe Casino.
