Higher Education in Mississippi

Today's Mississippi is home base for 15 junior colleges and more than 20 private and public colleges and universities. Together, Mississippi's institutions of higher learning give students the chance to complete undergraduate and graduate degrees, pursue advanced training in professional and technical fields, develop job skills and satisfy a lifelong love of learning. A number of the state's colleges and universities offer distance learning through Mississippi's Electronic Campus and the Mississippi Virtual Community College.
