The Dinner Bell
It is definitely worth it to be in McComb in time for lunch or supper (any day except Monday). That’s when The Dinner Bell loads up its big lazy Susan tables with platters and bowls of some of the best eatin’ you’ve ever put in your mouth. Try fried chicken, meatloaf, catfish, house-secret specialty fried eggplant, mashed potatoes, fresh peas, beans (butter and green varieties), and an amazing variety of casseroles. Cornbread and biscuits come with it, as do super-sweet tea and dessert. It’s been a favorite since 1945.

Are You a True Foodie?

Mississippi is a state that knows food, and with good reason. Our heritage is one of agriculture—and what is agriculture but growing good things to eat? (It’s much more than that actually, but who cares when you’re hungry?)

Hence the remarkable reputation of Mississippi restaurants for country cooking, fine dining and everything in between. From shrimp and grits to fish tacos and, of course, Mississippi Mud Pie, a wide variety of the world's most delectable dishes were first conceived between the Mississippi River and the Alabama state line.

Pull up a chair, grab a glass of sweet tea and discover the taste of Mississippi restaurants today.
