Port Gibson

Port Gibson rests neatly between Vicksburg and Natchez on the Mighty Mississippi River. This historical town, settled in 1788 through a Spanish land grant issued to Samuel Gibson, has preserved its timeless heritage and storied past in lavish 19th Century homes, old storefronts and Civil War battlefields, museums and parks. General U.S. Grant, in a rare detour from his "scorched earth" policy, declared the town of Port Gibson "too beautiful to burn", thus saving it from a fate suffered by many cities throughout the Old South.

For the perfect getaway discover Port Gibson, where the possibilities are endless.
