The Great River Road National Scenic Byway
This scenic byway follows the Mississippi River along Mississippi's western state line. With sweeping views and stunning sunsets, this byway is just one of many ways to take your time and enjoy the natural beauty that is Mississippi—both the state and the river.

True Country Roads

As historic and scenic byways go, there is none more splendid than Mississippi’s stretch of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Built along an ancient trail from Natchez to Nashville, the Natchez Trace Parkway has become a federally protected park that is not only a historic landmark, but also a beautiful winding road that weaves its way through the heart of the state.

The current 444-mile Natchez Trace Parkway runs along the approximate path of the Old Trace, with the Natchez Trace Scenic Trail close in tow. With historical markers and Native American mounds, beautiful vistas and sections overlooking large bodies of water, the Natchez Trace offers a breathtaking drive for anyone who’s in no hurry. But what better way to take in all the sights? Visit during the fall and see the bursting colors in full autumn bloom.

The Grand Gulf-Raymond Scenic Byway is another great trip for any motorist looking to take the road less traveled. This wonderful drive through towering trees partly follows in the footsteps of Ulysses S. Grant’s Vicksburg campaign.   These are just a few of the scenic drives you’ll find in Mississippi. Put your pedal to the metal today and visit us for a ride through tall pines, flat farmland and more.
