Adams County Welcome Center
THE HISTORY OF ADAMS COUNTY WELCOME CENTER
The Adams County Welcome Center is located inside the Natchez Visitor Reception Center at 640 S. Canal Street in Natchez, Mississippi, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River. The center was built in 1997 overlooking the bluffs of the Mississippi River.
Amenities at the Welcome Center include: Natchez Orientation and history exhibits, including maps, models and photographs; a 75-seat theater for a 20-minute film about Natchez; visitor planning and ticket purchasing area; bookstore and gift shop offering Natchez merchandise; and sky ramp viewing area overlooking the Mississippi River.
