Adams CountyThe Adams County Welcome Center is located inside the Natchez Visitor Reception Center, 640 S. Canal Street in Natchez, Mississippi. The center was built in 1997 overlooking the bluffs of the Mississippi River. This location is the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River established in 1716.
 
Prior to moving to the present location, the Welcome Center was located at Seargent S. Prentiss Drive for 15 years.
 
The present center amenities consist of Natchez Orientation and history exhibits, including maps, models, and photographs, a  75 seat theater for a special produced 20 minute film on Natchez, visiitors planning and ticketing purchasing area, bookstore and gift shop selling Natchez merchandise, skyramp viewing area overlooking the Mississippi River, accessibility for handicap visitors, and separate public restrooms and vending machine area.
 
The Mississippi Welcome Center Program is to provide travel and information assistance in a hospitable  and friendly manner to all who seek its services.
